Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Meme Video AI ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who processes it for us, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a hashed password, or, if you sign in with Google, your email address, name and profile picture from Google.
• Photos you upload: the image file you choose for a video. If the file contains embedded metadata, such as the place where it was taken, that metadata is stored and processed with it, so remove it first if you do not want to share it.
• Videos and generation records: the finished videos, and for each one the format, quality and length you picked, its status, any error, and how many credits it used.
• Content check records: for each photo you submit and each finished video, whether it passed our automatic content check, which rule it broke if it did not, a one-sentence reason and when. The record does not contain the photo or the video itself.
• Credits and purchases: your credit balance and its history, which credit pack you bought, when, how much you paid and its status (for example paid or refunded). Card and bank details go straight to our payment provider and never reach us.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, which our hosting provider and our server record to deliver the site, keep it secure and investigate errors.

Our content check looks at whether a photo shows a real person or anything else our rules do not allow, but we do not recognize who anyone is, measure faces or create biometric identifiers.

How we use it, and our legal bases

• To provide the service you sign up for: signing you in, making your videos, keeping your credit balance and handling purchases (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service safe: checking photos and videos against our acceptable use policy, preventing abuse and fraud, enforcing our terms of service and fixing errors (our legitimate interests).
• To keep purchase records that tax and accounting law requires (legal obligation).
• To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use your photos or videos to train AI models. We only send you emails your account needs, such as password reset links.

Who processes it for us (sub-processors)

• Supabase: account sign-in and our database, hosted in the United States.
• Cloudflare: hosting for this website and our server, and storage (R2, in the United States) for uploaded photos and finished videos.
• Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (runs the Kling video model and the Qwen vision model we use for content checks): receives your photo (and, for some lengths, our reference clip) to generate your video, and your photo and the finished video to check them. Its servers are in mainland China (Beijing), and it handles the data it receives under its own policies.
• Waffo: payments as our merchant of record. Waffo also processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
• Resend: sends account emails, such as password reset links, to your email address.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect people's rights and safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of this service, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

International transfers

Your data is processed in the United States and, to generate your video, in mainland China. These countries may protect personal data differently from the country you live in. We send the model provider only what a video needs.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded photos are deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
• Finished videos and your account are kept until you delete your account.
• Purchase and credit records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Content check records are kept as long as purchase records, so we can show how our rules were enforced.
• Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw any consent you gave. You can delete your account, photos and videos yourself on the account page. To use the other rights, or if you cannot sign in, contact us at support@memevideoai.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account owner. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and local storage

We store your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Our hosting provider may set cookies that are strictly needed for security. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Uploaded photos and finished videos are stored privately and opened only through links that expire, and only our server can read the database. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

This service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us at support@memevideoai.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will also tell signed-in users on the site before it takes effect.
